Full description

A cast iron milepost of V-shaped section with a raised back plate. The angled triangular front panel reads Tutbury Parish. The signage of the left hand side reads Tutbury (1/2 miles). The signage of the right hand side reads Burton (4 miles). The signage of the backplate reads London 129 miles. This milepost was manufactured by Thornewill, Burton. (LF, 20-Apr-2007) <1>
