More information : Eighteenth century landscape garden at Wycombe Abbey containing features including greenhouses constructed in 1811 and early 19th century lodges. Wood and parkland is present to the south and east of the house. Garden activity prior to Capability Brown's work in 1762 is uncertain. Brown was responsible for the extensive plantations and the creation of two pools. A grotto was constructed during the 1760s. Humphry Repton also carried out some landscaping before 1803, but the extent of his work is uncertain. (1)
