Summary : A short section of possible Roman road is visible as cropmarks on historic air photos.
More information : A short section of possible Roman road is visible as cropmarks on historic air photos at SE4038 6598. It appears as a parchmark approximately 5m wide and 70m long. It is visible in the field adjacent to the junction between Grafton Lane and Chapel Hill. It suggests the possibility of an approach to the Roman town (UID 55220) from the south, in addition to those known from the west (see UID 1326379), North (see UID1031439) and east (see UID 1030521).
