More information : SU09806454 to SU10016446. A boundary feature which crosses a narrow re-entrant and continues along the crest of a S facing hillside for a total of 230.0m. It comprises a ditch 3.0m to 4.0m wide and 0.6m deep with a bank of similar width and 0.6m high on the downhill side. It is not a cross-ridge dyke but a smaller type of boundary work, probably of LBA or IA origin and delimiting a field system or ranch in conjunction with the other ditches of the locality.Surveyed at 1:2500. The possible prehistoric boundary described by the previous authorities has been mapped from aerial photographs. From these photographs the boundary appears more like a Medieval or Post Medieval feature but only further investiagtion will ascertain if it is prehistoric or not. (2)
