Summary : Site of Napoleonic beacon and associated structures, now demolished.
More information : Napoleonic beacon in SE sector of Eston Nab hillfort (see NZ 51 NE 6). The building survived as a habitation until the 1950s, forming part of a complex of structures which once stood in the eastern part of the hillfort interior. The beacon was situated within an enclosure set between the SE sector of the hillfort defences and a boundary wall which ran across the eastern part of the fort. (1,2)

The beacon was demolished in 1956 and a monument erected in its place. (2)
