More information : A modern field wall has been built over the north face of Hadrian's Wall; the latter is exposed here and there to a maximum height of 1.7m, but mostly the Wall fabric has collapsed to a turf-covered bank. (1)

This section of Wall and another to the west, previously recorded in NY 66 NE 167, UID 1009932, is visible on air photographs. Abutting the Wall on the south side is an enclosure (NY 66 NE 342, UID 1392980), and there is the remains of a shiellng on the north side (NY 66 NE 340, UID 1392958). A stack stand also lies adjacent to the Wall (NY 66 NE 341, UID 1392961). (4-5) |
