Summary : Possible Iron Age or Roman ditched enclosure containing pits, seen as cropmarks.
More information : An Iron Age or Roman ditch defined enclosure was visible as a
cropmark, centred at SK 9680 8668, and has been mapped at 1:2500
scale. The enclosure measures 66m by 28m internally and appears to
be double ditched on two sides. The west side extends south for 60m
and may form part of a large extension. Various linears extend from
the enclosure and may form sub divisions and extensions. Various
large pits were visible in the interior.
