More information : Medieval and/or post medieval ridge and furrow is visible around and within the Cock Lodge moated manor site and the Maiden Bower motte and bailey site in the parish of Topcliffe around SE408 750. Furrows can be seen to cut across elements of both monuments suggesting they were turned to cultivation at some point.
