| Summary : An oval barrow extant as an earthwork and located circa 75 metres south west of the Bull Ring henge (SK 07 NE 2). A bowl barrow is superimposed on the western end of the oval barrow. Both barrows are included within the scheduling of the henge. The feature is visible as an earthwork on air photographs and is extant on the latest EARTH.GOOGLE.COM photography accessed 18-AUG-2009. |
More information : An oval barrow extant as an earthwork and located circa 75 metres south west of the Bull Ring henge (SK 07 NE 2). A bowl barrow is superimposed on the western end of the oval barrow. Both barrows are included within the scheduling of the henge. (1-2)
The barrows are visible as earthworks on air photographs, centred at SK 0780 7818, although it is not possible from the photography to separate the features. The feature was mapped as part of the Derbyshire and Peak District Aggregates Assessment Survey and is extant on the latest EARTH.GOOGLE.COM 2005 photography accessed 18-AUG-2009.
