Summary : Cottage hospital designed by Grayson and Ould in 1905-7 for William Hesketh Lever. Later additions were made by William and Segar Owen and James Lomax-Simpson. The hospital is a Neo-Georgian style building comprising a two-storey administration block flanked by two single-storey ward blocks. Construction is of brick and pebbledash with a slate roof. The hospital later became a employees' training centre and is now a nursing home.
