Summary : The former sergeants' mess and quarters at Manby Airfield, probably built between 1936-1938 to a 1935 design by the Air Ministry architect Bulloch. It is situated on the north-east corner of the parade ground. The former mess has been recommended for consideration as a possible Listed Building.
More information : The Charterhouse: former sergeants' mess and quarters at Manby Airfield built between to a 1935 design by the Air Ministry architect Bulloch. (probably built 1936-1938 whenb the airfield was first constructed) It is situated on the north-east corner of the parade ground. In 2003 The Charterhouse was recommended by English Heritage for consideration for possible future Listed Building Status, potentially at Grade II. (1)
