Summary : The line of the Roman road is not traceable although a rise in a field may mark its position. The area abounds in tracks and ridge-and-furrow.
More information : No obvious trace of Stanegate in the fields although there is a rise in the field walls suggesting its position. Fields are full of old tracks, drains and ridge-and-furrow. (1)

Selected ditches visible on aerial photographs suggest a possible course for the road. Aerial photography was examined and possible Roman features recorded as part of the Hadrian's Wall World Heritage Site Mapping Project. (2)
